Scientific Instruments, Inc.
Exceptional Cryogenic Measurement Solutions
Scientific Instruments (SI) was founded in 1967 by Aeronautical Engineer, Jack Hoey and Low Temperature Physicist, Gilbert Halverson. Coming from aerospace and academic backgrounds, they developed the first commercially available Germanium Resistance Thermometer (GRT) and supplied these devices for use on the Saturn V launch vehicle. With the growing cryogenic industry, Scientific Instruments expanded its product line to include several new cryogenic temperature sensors and monitoring devices. These advances include the introduction of an interchangeable silicon diode in the 1980’s, as well as Ruthenium oxide (RuO) thick film resistors, Platinum Resistance Thermometers (PRT), and thermocouples.
Today, Scientific Instruments continues to support advances in cryogenic research around the globe. SI is committed to providing the very best customer service with experienced staff and other fully trained, global representatives. Management stands behind its Quality System which supports and ensures customer requirements are met and fully satisfied.
